Sitara Kapur is a singer, musician, and environmental advocate with a passion for biological sciences, marine conservation and environmental research. Her singing style is influenced by jazz, R&B, neo-soul and classical music. She has performed as a solo artist, and in musical theatre and choral groups, and has played with musicians in a variety of styles from electronic to folk. She is drawn to great song-writing and often performs songs rooted in activism and social justice.   Sitara is immersed in many areas of the creative arts and combines her interests in science and conservation with her activities in musical innovation, photography, media, art and design. She has also performed as an actor, contemporary dancer and voiceover artist, and has experience in media production as a researcher and production coordinator in science documentaries.
