MTF Labs invites young people aged 18-30 to participate in a FREE course on Design for Radical Inclusion in Umeå, Sweden in Autumn this year.

♿️ What is Open Minds?
Led by Umeå-based global innovation and education platform MTF Labs and hosted at Folkuniversitet, Open Minds is an innovative Erasmus+ project that introduces the concept of Radical Inclusion and teaches accessible design.
No previous design or technical experience is required. By actively involving diverse individuals in the design process, we aim to create a more accessible and inclusive world for everyone.
📅 When and Where?
The course consists of two 3-hour sessions - one in August and another in September, followed by a week-long immersive Creative Innovation Lab from 9-14 October in Umeå, Sweden, working with participants from across Europe who will travel to Umeå to collaborate and prototype with you to develop and build your design ideas.

🧠 What will you learn?
Participants will develop skills in design principles, coding, making with electronics, physical computing, and accessible design. By working with people from various backgrounds, you’ll also expand your cultural horizons and create lasting connections.
🌍 Who will you meet?
You’ll collaborate with participants from Finland, Croatia, Portugal, Sweden, and Albania to create innovative solutions for a more inclusive society. The programme is designed to be a lot of fun with additional out-of-hours activities and meals with visiting participants.

💰 How much does it cost?
The course is funded by the EU through the Erasmus+ initiative and so is absolutely free to participants! There are limited places, so reserve your place soon!
🏆 What do you get out of it?
Apart from acquiring new skills and making new designs that could improve the world, you will also receive an EU Youthpass documenting your progress and new knowledge. Youthpass is an internationally-recognised certificate of learning.
