One of the real highlights of Music Tech Fest Boston was the fact that the hackathon started at Microsoft Research and then moved on to the incredible performance venue Redstar Union. When you see the video, you’ll see why…
At Redstar Union, the hackers not only made amazing inventions and proof of concept projects for new ways of making and interacting with music - they also took over the stage and performed an impromptu, improvised and floor-shaking gig where the lines between audience and artist, musician and technologist - were totally blurred.
Which is just the way we like it…
Redstar Union is an amazing space with a state of the art video recording and live streaming installation. It was such a privilege to be based there for the overnight hackathon, such an inspiring place for performance and invention - and they did such a great professional job of covering the event.
We’ll be back for sure!
