INFOBIP PANGEA CAMPUS

.In May 2019, MTF ran a 3-day #MTFLabs in residence at one of Europe’s fastest-growing software unicorns: Croatian company Infobip. The creative innovators from the MTF community worked together with brilliant participants from a selection of the 64 Infobip offices all around the world to put creativity at the heart of innovation.

In addition to the Labs, MTF hosted exclusive events, including a live Moonbounce at the University of Pula, in which participants could send their voices to the moon and back, a synaesthesia concert by the BBC’s LJ Rich, and a Children’s Cymatics workshop, where Pula’s youngest inventors could record found sounds, feel their vibrations and learn about science and music.

Sister Moon Project

University of Pula

Martine-Nicole Rojina (MPATHY Studio), Dwingeloo Radio Telescope & CAMRAS

#MTF Pula featured the SisterMoon project by renowned German artist and producer Martine-Nicole Rojina at the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, where participants “spoke to the moon” in real time and listened live to echoes from the surface of the moon.

Martine-Nicole Rojina uses one of the world’s first radio astronomy antennas to record the human voice, music instruments and sound-art reflected off the surface of the moon in collaboration with the Dwingeloo Radio Telescope, Jan van Muijlwijk and Harry Keizer of CAMRAS.

Infobip’s founders, Silvio Kutić, Roberto Kutić and Izabel Jelenić seized the opportunity and spoke their motto “We are just starting!”. The words traveled through space at the speed of light reflected on the cratered surface and returned to them in 2.5 seconds.”

Cymatics and Found Sound

saturday 18 may 2019

At Pula Marina

As part of MTF Pula, MTF, the University of Pula and Infobip arranged a morning workshop for Pula’s youngest innovators, collecting sound from around the marina and creating an experience that allowed the children to feel and see the sound through vibration. Led by Mordechai Braunstein, founder of Healing Music Israel, who brought his unique CyMagic project for the children to experience, and by London’s Tim Yates of Drake Music, #MTF Kids was a wonderful hands-on experience that allows children to experience the science and emotion of sound in creative and engaging new ways.
