c3n loops present a novel zoomable interface design for tablet devices allowing a creative flow of thousands of content loops. The infinite zoomable surface of sound has its contra point in limited hardware devices. Combining the two makes expressive performances.

IMMERSIVE ORCHESTRAS (A NEW REALITY FOR CLASSICAL MUSIC) (SPAIN)
This presentation shows how Virtual Reality and Audio Processing can be combined in new immersive experiences for orchestral music. Using content from top orchestras and the latest source separation research to create novel acoustic experiences, where audio and visual cues are synchronized to generate an acoustic zoom effect to specific instruments.

Chromahelix is an electro-acoustic ensemble based in Barcelona, formed by different professionals in the audio technology area and artists. They expose the spectators to different sonic textures, combining minimalist soundscapes and rhythms. SENODE (GERMANY)
Senode is an innovative live performance sequencer. Just draw your score as node-based graph and step through the nodes using polyphonic MIDI events or touch interaction. Electronica artist and developer Sebastian Arnold will showcase the app by connecting his acoustic drum kit and a synth to the state machine.

AN ACCESSIBLE GUITAR - DRAKE MUSIC (UK)
In Jan 2015 disabled musician John Kelly presented Drake Music with a blueprint for an electric guitar that would be accessible to him.
A working hack was made, proving the concept and realising John’s ambition to play guitar. Having secured funds to create a concert ready prototype, Gawain Hewitt will present the concept for the Kellycaster, and how working with makers helps disabled musicians.

ALEXANDRA CARDENAS, LIVE CODING (MEXICO)
Alexandra Cárdenas, Mexican composer and programmer, will perform a short live coding session of improvised music. Using open source software like SuperCollider and TidalCycles, she programs the computer in front of the audience to create music. Her code is displayed on a screen for the audience to see her work with the code. In other words, Alexandra makes music with text live for all to see.

BEAT BUSTERS (CROATIA)
Beat Busters is an interactive sound performance characterised by the extraction of the sounds from performers’ white suits, spiced up by VJ-ing. They explore sound characteristics of things surrounding us and compile spontaneous improvised music ̶ interactive and unconstrained. The wireless sensors integrated in their suits enable undisturbed movements and beatbusting among the audience.
