Participant profile: Moullinex

Moullinex is the alter ego of Lisbon based producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist Luis Clara Gomes. After establishing himself as one of the leading artists in the disco scene, with several underground hits such as ‘Take My Pain Away’ and ‘Maniac’, remixes of acts like Røyksopp, Cut Copy and Two Door Cinema Club, and founding his own label Discotexas alongside Xinobi, he’s released the critically acclaimed albums Flora (2012), Elsewhere (2015) and Hypersex (2017).

His brand new album is Requiem for Empathy (2021).

Moullinex thrives in intersections: science and art, spontaneity and formalism, isolation and community. Perfectly crystallised in music that can live within the boundaries of the dance floor and still allow for introspection. From melancholic textures to exuberant house and disco, his productions have seen him being praised by peers and audiences globally.

Moullinex joins a global community of artists, scientists, experts and innovators at MTF Aveiro, October 11th - 16th, 2021.
