We are calling on brilliant minds to establish JUST Data practices – judicious, unbiased, safe and transparent.
Lab participants are inspired to use this lens to tackle the technological and cultural aspects of Sound for Urban Environments: how do we signal and interact in the era of AI, automation and IoT devices; how does this affect our personal space and our culture; and how do we ensure our technologies are implemented for social good in living environments.

In collaboration with Linköping Science Park and with support from Vinnova Avancerad Digitalisering, we are curating a unique experience that bridges the gap between the arts and sciences, industry and academia.
We will use the lens of urban sound design to explore issues of data justice and innovate new standards and practices across industry sectors.

CROSS-DOMAIN INNOVATION
This is not merely an innovation event but a hands-on, collaborative testbed where we prototype and experiment with new ideas that span the built environment, transportation, healthcare, earth observation data, the steel industry, the creative sector, and beyond. Our goal is to foster hybrid innovations that enhance the quality of life in urban spaces.

Building on the success of our recent JUST Health Data Labs in Gothenburg, where we collaborated with the health sector to set the standard for Judicious, Unbiased, Safe, and Transparent (JUST) data annotation, we continue our mission to ensure ethical and transparent data practices. The JUST Industry Data Labs in Linköping will further develop these standards and principles, promoting trust and integrity in industrial AI and data technologies by focusing on the human aspects and responsibilities of data collection, data management, and data ownership.
