The #MTFResearch network was formally established on June 1st 2015 as part of #MTFScandi and has since developed into an international community dedicated to the support and incubation of interdisciplinary research and the promotion of new contributions to the study of music and technology.
On Monday 21st September, directly after the weekend of #MTFCentral at Cankarjev Dom in association with Earzoom Festival, #MTFResearch will run a series of informal workshops and discussions on Human Music Interaction. It’s also a chance to discuss and reflect upon the ideas shared during the festival as well as our own research work.
Music Tech Fest is the ‘festival of music ideas’ and brings together artists, academics, industry, technologists, makers and hackers to both celebrate and invent the future of music. I would like to invite you to attend the festival over the weekend in Umeå, and stay for the ‘afterparty’ #MTFResearch symposium on Monday.
To take part in the #MTFResearch symposium at #MTFCentral please ensure that you register for free here by July 31st. Places are limited so sign up in advance to avoid disappointment.
